Talking about the Dot Tel domains, that many believers had dropped, and had found, that .Tel sucks:

In fact, there had been problems, and there still are.

So many good .tel names had been dropped by their owners, and that should make you think, and perhaps make some research, to find out why.

In the short term and mid therm, there had not been a lot of satisfaction, using a .Tel. But the long term perspective is very promising (.tel Raodmap, and usage with QR-Codes, etc.)

Basically, there should be two ways to look at the .Tel domain:
The extension ".Tel" fits perfect for mobile interactivity. And the main value, is still in that extension, and not in the look and present usability of this domain.

It looks like the Telnic management had failed a bit, to properly manage this domain.

If you want to stick with .Tel, you must be able to believe in the strength of the extension and its future potential and usability.

This domain is still pre beta stadium. It is a bare bone, that you can make look, appealing and work. But it is not yet a stunner, if you will. It is the ugly duckling, before showing him self as a white swan.

I recommend, to use .Tel's, and get familiar with them. To play around with them, and to experiment with them.

These Dot Tel domains, are here to stay, and will grow huge, within the next five years.

Be faithful. It was a terribly shaky ride, till now, but hold your .Tel's, if they have good names.

Either Vice President of the Telnic board, Mr. Chalandon, comes out of the woodwork, or steps back. But he should not ignore the fact, that he had been in prison, and had been bailed out for 75000 Euros. This is something, that .Tel holders should be allowed to know.

2011 is a opportunity for a clean fresh start, with openness, transparency, and development within reasonable time.

Also: The Dot Tel domain can't just ignore QR-Code usage.

The Telnic management should have a clear and realistic vision and strategy, about how to proceed, and then really go for it.

Registering a .Tel name, is not too expensive, if you pay $10 at www.name.com, but potential mainstream adopters, will be willing to get a .Tel domain, for less than $10, perhaps, there should be price of $5, even, if it is only a promo campaign price. New registrations could compensate the dropped domains, which actually would be badly needed, to keep up the figures.

Image, if Telnic had invested 75000 Euros into an advert campaign, instead of bailing out its Vice President. Hey, where is the money going?

Nothing more, to add there, for the moment...
